JOB DESCRIPTION:

SCOPE: Provides primary point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance on desktop systems; Ensures proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks; Installs, diagnoses, maintains and upgrades all PC hardware and equipment; Act as an internal consultant in specialized projects and products at all Center locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of three years experience with both telephone and on-site based delivery of mainframe, microcomputer, and LAN support services, including problem analysis/resolution, and installation.

1. Analyze, define, install and configure standard desktop computer systems with standard applications. Customize desktop systems to work group specific needs with special applications and hardware when needed.
2. Coordinate and complete end-user desktop requests, and problem resolution.
3. Analyze, define, coordinate, and implement desktop application upgrades and software/hardware maintenance for the installed base of systems.
4. Assist with analysis, definition and implementation for components of the local area network infrastructure to support the end user environment and telecommunication needs working closely with the infrastructure team.
5. Develop and implement special projects working closely with co-workers to enhance effectiveness of information technology.
6. Maintain and expand working knowledge of desktop systems. Perform inventory management for IT components.
