Location: HMAS Stirling, Western Australia

Start Date: 24 August 2026

Contract Duration: Approximately 24 August 2026 to 30 September 2026

Security Clearance: NV1 minimum (NV2 preferred)

About the Role: This role supports a technology deployment project at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia. The Desktop Support Consultant will assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of end-user technology equipment within Building 240. The successful candidate will work as part of a project team delivering desktop infrastructure and associated technology services within a secure environment.


Responsibilities

  • Deploy and install desktop computers and associated peripherals.
  • Install and configure monitors and workstation equipment.
  • Install and support Multiple Computer Switch (MCS) solutions.
  • Perform end-user technology deployment activities in accordance with project schedules and Defence standards.
  • Conduct equipment setup, replacement, relocation, and asset validation activities.
  • Provide site support and remediation services to address deployment issues.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues during deployment activities.
  • Liaise with project team members, Defence personnel, and end users to ensure successful deployment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of deployment activities and completed work.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience performing ICT deployment, desktop rollout, or end-user technology deployment activities.
  • Current Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance (minimum).
  • NV2 Security Clearance highly desirable.
  • Experience working within Defence, government, or other secure operational environments.
  • Current Defence Common Access Card (DCAC) highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively within a project team and meet deployment deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.

Preferred Experience

  • Desktop hardware deployment and refresh projects.
  • Monitor and peripheral installation activities.
  • Multiple Computer Switch (MCS) installations.
  • Defence ICT environments and deployment methodologies.
  • Technical support and remediation activities during large-scale technology rollouts.
