JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Desktop Support Engineer

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, MacOS, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory, user management, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM tools.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting printers, mobile devices, and VoIP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in enterprise IT support or a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of remote desktop tools (e.g., Team Viewer, Any Desk, RDP).
  • Basic experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and MacOS operating systems.
  • Assist with network troubleshooting, including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity.
  • Set up and configure new user accounts, email, and access permissions in Active Directory & Microsoft 365.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office 365 applications, Outlook, Teams, and other enterprise software.
  • Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and procurement.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs and replacements.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices by updating software, patching vulnerabilities, and monitoring for security threats.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to end-users as needed.
