OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support and troubleshooting for a diverse range of hardware and software issues. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, assisting users with desktop support, and maintaining effective communication across departments. The Desktop Support Technician will work closely with both internal teams and end-users to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts including TCP, DNS, LAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server environments as well as desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS).
  • Experience with IT support tools such as SCCM, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues effectively and propose solutions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
