ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of desktop hardware
  • Strong knowledge in technically supporting Windows PC systems
  • Strong knowledge in working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking infrastructure
  • Connectivity and troubleshooting (including TCP/IP), Active Directory, DHCP, networking
  • Knowledge of PLC and Control Systems an asset
  • Ability to manage and own the service ticket process
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a very busy environment with minimal supervision
  • Able to work well independently as well as being a strong team member
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be available to travel to all locations within corporate WAN (Ontario and USA)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline
  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician /CompTIA A+ or equivalent is an asset
  • Valid G License
Responsibilities
  • Ownership of Install/Move/Add/Change process as it pertains to desktop pc’s/peripherals and cellular devices
  • Ownership of Labelview and Zebra printing systems
  • Provide remote and in-person support to employees
  • Technical installations, troubleshooting and technical configuration
  • Create and place service tickets and document issues and resolutions for future use, IT Work Order System (Manage Engine ServiceDesk Plus)
  • Take appropriate action to efficiently resolve and repair technical issues
  • Assistance with technology improvements
  • Schedule and perform regular maintenance
  • Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Flexibility to provide off-hours support periodically
  • Share on-call duties on a rotation basis - cellular phone will be provided
  • Must adhere to all corporate Internal Controls policies under Bill 198
