Cahill is an Equal Opportunity Employer. ABOUT THE ROLE: Cahill is looking for an enthusiastic Desktop Support Specialist to join our team onsite at our office in San Francisco's Financial District. This is a generalist position with exposure to a wide variety of technologies. In this entry to mid-level position, you will have the opportunity to support both office and field personnel. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: Assist with IT issues, escalate tickets, and communicate with third parties to ensure timely resolutions. Manage PC/laptop setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware images and software. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software, including supporting company mobile devices, printers, and network devices. Troubleshoot network port and wireless connectivity issues, resolving hardware, peripheral, and software problems. Demonstrate the ability to solve network and technical problems. Maintain composure and efficiency under pressure during major network and systems emergencies, contributing to timely solutions. Ticketing / Time management Maintain IT inventory Occasional on-site support for our offices in Oakland, San Jose, and San Leandro. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALITIES: 3-5 years of previous IT experience. Technical certifications, especially Microsoft and CISCO, are preferred. Strong expertise in Windows client and proficiency in Office 365 Suite. Windows Server, including AD and GPO. MDM Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and subnetting. Flexibility to meet important deadlines. Effective multi-tasking skills, seamlessly switching between project management and daily systems support. Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact professionally and harmoniously with peers. A quick grasp of modern technologies and a sense of humor to foster a positive team environment. Regularly use hands to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, phone, printer, etc.) See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus. Sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time working on a computer. Talk and hear at normal levels. The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. The base salary for this exempt role is $85,000 - $95,000.
