About the Role We’re looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to join our Technology and Development (T&D) team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the IT Support Manager, you will be at the front line of our technology operations, providing the high-quality support that keeps our retail business running smoothly. In this role, you’ll act as a bridge between technology and our people, ensuring our systems are secure, functional, and always available. This is a great opportunity to use your technical skills and logical thinking to solve complex problems while helping us improve our digital workspace through automation. In this role, you will: Work as part of a desktop support team to deliver exceptional technical support to our onsite and remote workforce. Maintain our security posture by managing endpoint compliance and ensuring all hardware meets our cyber safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues of all complexities, proactively looking for ways to improve our systems and processes. Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide expert guidance on hardware, AV/VC facilities, and mobile fleet management. Produce and maintain documentation, ensuring our technical knowledge base is accurate and easy to use. Utilise PowerShell and automation to streamline repetitive tasks and optimise our desktop environments. Build strong relationships across the business to ensure tasks and projects are delivered on time and with full ownership. What we’re looking for: Solid experience with Microsoft environments, including Windows, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Knowledge of Google Workspace and experience supporting AV/VC conferencing facilities. Hands-on experience with mobile fleet management, including deployment and maintenance of laptops, phones, and tablets. Familiarity with Contact Centre solutions (Genesys) and working within an ITIL/ticketing environment. A security-minded approach with an understanding of endpoint management and modern security principles. Experience with PowerShell for automating tasks and improving efficiency. The ability to work after hours and join a rotating on-call roster as required.
