QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft software and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting network, Wi-Fi, printer, and server issues.
  • Basic knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Experience with deploying desktop images is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A degree in IT or a related field is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities

AS A DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALIST, YOU WILL PLAY A CRUCIAL ROLE IN ENSURING THE SMOOTH OPERATION OF OUR IT INFRASTRUCTURE. YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Providing desktop support for end users utilizing Microsoft software.
  • Conducting preliminary troubleshooting of infrastructure issues such as Wi-Fi, network, printer, and server problems.
  • Deploying images for desktops and point of sales systems.
  • Assisting with software installations, updates, and patches.
  • Managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Providing support for mobile devices and remote access solutions.
  • Assisting with hardware setup & maintenance, including desktops, laptops & peripherals.
  • Ensuring data backup and recovery processes are followed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by end users.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems.
  • Troubleshoot & resolve connectivity issues related to Wi-Fi and network.
  • Provide support for printer and server-related problems.
  • Deploy & manage desktop images for new and existing systems.
  • Document & track issues using our ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless support.
  • Understand & troubleshoot basic networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Assist in maintaining network security and performance.
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Provide support for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Assist with remote access solutions and VPN configurations.
  • Set up & maintain hardware, including desktops, laptops, monitors & other peripherals.
  • Ensure data backup and recovery processes are in place and followed.
  • Provide training and support to end users on IT-related topics.
