JOB TITLE: DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (12+ MONTH CONTRACT, CONVERSION POTENTIAL)

Location: St. Gabriel, LA (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Contract Length: 12+ months, strong potential for conversion
Pay Rate: Up to $25/hr
Schedule: Rotating shifts, weekly rotation between 6am–2pm and 10am–6pm (40 hours/week)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT support team in St. Gabriel, LA. This is a long-term, 12+ month contract role with strong potential for conversion to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, customer-focused professional with experience troubleshooting Windows 11, hardware, and software in a corporate environment.
You will provide frontline technical support to end users, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. This is an onsite role with direct client interaction, making communication and professionalism key to success.

Responsibilities
  • Provide desktop support for end users, including hardware break/fix, software installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver client-facing technical support with a focus on responsiveness and customer service.
  • Support Windows 11 devices, peripherals, and associated technologies.
  • Work with ServiceNow for incident tracking and resolution.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, monitoring, and troubleshooting of IT systems.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to resolve technical challenges and operational issues.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and stay current with industry best practices.
