Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Technician to provide both remote and in-office technical support for our company’s computing environment. This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site presence for hands-on tasks and remote work capabilities for virtual assistance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide first-level and second-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application problems.
  • Resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware, and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
  • Document internal procedures and write reports on issues resolved remotely and in-office.
  • Travel to the office for hardware support, system upgrades, and during critical situations.
  • Assist Network teams with troubleshooting switches and routers as needed.
  • Assist Telecom team with telephony devices and issues as needed.
  • Assist Facilities teams with move-add-change requests as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of previous endpoint support required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-oriented attitude.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment: This position will be performed in a hybrid setting, with a combination of remote work and on-site presence as required by IT support needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting and moving computer equipment.
  • Flexibility to travel to the office location when required.
