Key Responsibilities Ensure all staff follow health and safety procedures, only trained staff operate machinery and are equipped with the correct PPE. Report near misses via the health and safety portal. Engage with staff daily to address concerns and maintain communication. Solve problems and manage day-to-day operational issues. Ensure customer requirements are met and all export paperwork is sent on time. Follow export processes and confirm they are in place before trucks leave the site. Pick and ship orders to customer specifications, maintaining a high presentation standard. Ensure stock rotation is adhered to. Complete all priority picking instructions from production planners. Manage the area and coordinate with all departments regarding stock. Remove stock from blast freezer once frozen. Liaise with QC departments within WGH to ensure protocols are followed and stock is not misplaced. Operate and oversee PPT, forklift, and shunter driving for loading and unloading trailers. Maintain a clean, debris-free work area. Ensure all paperwork is completed, including intake and despatch checks. Organise loading to maintain workflow and floor movement. Provide CGI cover when needed. Review and support the evening shift cover with the Despatch Lead. Ensure staff start shifts on time and follow break and clocking procedures. Engage with management to identify and drive improvements and opportunities. Manage staff holidays What we need from you? Basic computer skills are advantageous Good people management skills Target-oriented approach Commitment to confidentiality Previous experience in meat production (beef processing preferred) Responsible from pre op. to post op. handover Be flexible with working hours Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team Please note: This is an evening shift position. Working hours are from Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to midnight. On Sundays, the shift typically ends earlier, around 8:00 PM What can we offer you?
