DESPATCH WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE VACANCY

Matki PLC are currently seeking a full time, permanent, Warehouse Operative to join our team in Yate.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
Honest, reliable, trustworthy character with a strong work ethic and a positive, flexible/adaptable attitude to work.
Knowledge of manual handling techniques – you will need to be physically fit for this position as the job involves manual handling of heavy products. Manuel Handling training will be provided.
Good level of numeracy and English literacy, our warehouse is a mix of paper based and electronic picking systems.
Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and apply a high level of accuracy at all times.
Efficiency is key, ensuring items are picked and put away in a timely manner.
Ability to work alone with minimum supervision as well as part of a team. Able to follow instructions and requests from Manager/Supervisor.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Forklift experience is desirable, however not essential as the company will provide forklift training where necessary.

To assist with the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely despatch of products required.
Check that all products/goods are received in good condition.
Create space in the warehouse for incoming stock and put away in the appropriate bays.
Pick required products as specified on the picking sheet in time for scheduled despatch.
Assist with loading/unloading vehicles.
Assist with stock checks.
Maintain the warehouse/site in a clean and tidy condition.
Assist with general repairs and maintenance tasks.
