JOB PROFILE AND DESCRIPTION
The Product Manager is responsible for developing and managing FIT product and services in assigned countries and maintaining strong relationships with local DMC partners in destinations. The Product Manager is responsible for improving existing products and developing new products that fit within the Avanti brand. Destinations will be developed based on your industry experience and contact with suppliers. You will act as the ´´Champion´´ for your areas and take responsibility for passionately and proactively promoting both products and destinations internally and externally. The Product Manager will work closely with the Marketing Department, Web Departments and Training Departments to ensure products are presented and promoted correctly.
The role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to multitask. As the primary point of contact for DMC partners, the Product Manager will help resolve any internal operational issues and work together with the operational departments to ensure the seamless delivery of tour components to customers and that the Avanti standards are adhered to.
Destinations are assigned by the Product and Yield Director.
The successful candidate is a strong collaborator that works closely with all Avanti internal teams such as Operations, Accounting, Training, Marketing, Web, Technology & Sales

- Expertise in Microsoft Office skills using Word, Outlook, and Excel
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge through job experience
- Prior travel to Europe, Asia and Latin America in the last 5 years a plus
- This position requires travel to assigned destinations (or as directed by Product and Yield Director). Product Manager should be available, if required, to travel up to a combination of 4 – 6 weeks per year, based on company requirements.
- Fluency in the foreign language is a plus
- Ability to work and travel independently
- Technical affinity to understand databases, database management and assist in implementing new technology interfaces with suppliers
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
- TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery (copy machine, keyboard, etc.).
- PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
- MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; the four basic arithmetic operations with money; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard; ounce, and pound (or their metric counterparts).
- LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; read at a slow rate; and define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation. Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and using adjectives and adverbs. Ability to communicate in complex sentences, using normal word order with present and past tense and good vocabulary.
