Description PURPOSE: The Detail Dept. Technician cleans and details new and used automobiles and arranges vehicle inventory. CORE DUTIES: Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes. Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine. Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner. Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devises. Requirements OTHER DUTIES: Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components. Application of aftermarket products Performs other duties as assigned by management Serve on the safety committee when elected Attend company sponsored training PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to assist in snow removal on sales lot and vehicle Ability to lift 20 lbs Must have a tolerance to normal shop noise(i.e. tools, equipt, cars etc) QUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be approved by company insurance company Manual dexterity. Good judgment. Must wear company supplied uniform

Responsibilities

The technician is responsible for cleaning and detailing new and used automobiles to maintain inventory quality. This includes washing exteriors, buffing surfaces, and deep cleaning vehicle interiors.
