POSITION OVERVIEW:
In this position, the Automotive Detailer will be responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
- Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
- Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free
- Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats
- Apply paint sealant
- Clean and polish wheels and rims
- Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars
- Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement
- Complete quality control checklist
- Perform other repair duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
- Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
