Job Brief Polymer Dev Lab is intended to provide an opportunity for interns and fresh graduates to start their careers in the hedge fund industry. As a Dev Lab Developer you will have the opportunity to: Own projects that involve data analytics and visualization, risk analytics and monitoring, quantitative research, and trading. Automate daily workflows by addressing operation pain points. Reduce the usage of Excel VBA by providing better solutions. Build prototypes or tactical tools to prove new operation/analytics ideas. We follow Agile & DevOps practices, polish products by iterations, build, test, deploy and monitor ourselves. We enforce peer reviews and automated tests to ensure code quality. The ideal candidate will have: Coding experience using languages similar to C#/Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python/R. Willingness to step out of their comfort zone to learn not only programming practices but also business domain know-how. Ability to communicate in English. Good to have qualifications include: Familiarity with our major languages and frameworks: C#, TypeScript, and Python, and able to code solutions from scratch. Good mathematics and statistical knowledge, including concepts such as matrices, correlation, and standard deviation. Familiarity with Excel and VBA. Familiarity with Cloud, CI/CD setup, CDK/Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker. A financial background, although this is not mandatory. Why join us?
