PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Luxoft’s client, a global commodity trader, are embarking on a significant risk application modernization programme, streamlining their architecture, remediating legacy infrastructure issues and providing a new scalable platform for business growth.
We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative cloud technologies, streamline CI/CD processes, and drive automation across the development lifecycle.

SKILLS

Must have
5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.).
Experience managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, Kops, or other Kubernetes distributions).
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to have
AWS Certification (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure).
Knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
Experience with serverless architectures and frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure using best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, Kops, or other Kubernetes distributions) for deployment and scaling of containerized applications.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth code deployments across multiple environments.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and availability of services.
Implement and maintain cloud security practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and network configurations.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment with DevOps processes and tools.
Continuously improve and optimize cloud architecture, deployment strategies, and DevOps workflows.
Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures to ensure operational excellence
