Amentum is searching for a Top-Secret cleared Dev Ops Engineer (Senior) to join our team in Washington, DC.
You will be working in an organization that’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. In this role you will support ongoing maintenance of multiple Virtual Private Clouds across enclaves, including managing backups, patching, upgrades, developer workstations, monitoring, and overall security posture. The entire section leverages agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.
The Dev Ops Engineer (Senior) is a part of a team that will lead large scale data analysis projects to designs and delivers on premises and cloud-based applications. The Dev Ops Engineer (Senior) is responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues, of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. You will deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service provider. The Dev Ops Engineer (Senior) configures and manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website, debugs cluster-based computing architectures, and uses scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field
In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 10 years of experience with 6 years of related technical specialized experience
Responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues, of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. Responsible for the primary Operations and Maintenance workforce multiple tools. Deploys and configures services using infrastructure as a service provider. Configures and manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website. Debugs cluster-based computing architectures. Uses scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems. Installs and manages open-source monitoring tools.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. Minimum of 8 years’ experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
