We are looking to hire a Developer Advocate to join the Developer Relations Team under Product at InfluxData. As a Developer Advocate, you’ll represent InfluxData to the community and the community to InfluxData. In this role, you will make developers more productive and empowered by creating demos and technical content, giving talks, organizing meetups, and engaging with users online. You will advocate for the community by working with Product and Engineering to help align their efforts with the needs of the community.
InfluxData is a company built by and for developers. The Developer Advocate on the Developer Relations team will be a leader who directly impacts our entire user community.
Responsibilities:
- Become an authority on the InfluxDB platform, both Open Source and Commercial
- Helping developers get started using these platforms to build their own solutions
- Establish a social media presence representing InfluxData
- Participate in Influx Community Groups and Slack discussions
- Regularly present at conferences, meetups and online events showcasing InfluxData products and technology.
- Build and deliver technical training workshops using Influx software
- Write sample applications, prototypes, and code samples to showcase the power and flexibility of InfluxDB and its ecosystem.
- Support and reduce onboarding friction with our user community through code sample creation, debugging, direct partner engagement, and long-tail support channels (forums, office hours, blog posts, etc.).
- Be an advocate for developers internally and influence InfluxData’s product strategy by working with Product Management, Engineering, PR, Marketing, Business Development and other cross-functional teams.
- Build relationships with other technical experts and communities around other projects.
