We’re looking for our first DevRel hire to join our team! We believe this is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about technology and community building to make a real impact. As The Developer Advocate, you’ll be the voice of UpCloud within the community and help our end-users succeed with our product stack, for example with the UpCloud Kubernetes Service, which we built from scratch by the way.

  • Demonstrated background and familiarity with K8s and wider cloud native ecosystem and related tooling
  • Deep understanding of the challenges developers and software engineers face with cloud native tooling
  • Proven track record as an engaging presenter and technical speaker
  • Strong writing skills and ability to express complex technical concepts in a meaningful way for audiences with varying levels of expertise
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to connect to individuals and groups in various communities
  • Willingness to travel
  • Our working language is English, and fluency in other European languages is valued
Responsibilities
  • Connect UpCloud’s innovations with the community, and provide feedback to UpCloud product teams
  • Engage with end users at in-person and online events, and via online forums, to raise awareness about UpCloud
  • Submit CFPs and create presentations for various events
  • Create engaging technical content, including videos, tutorials, social media posts, and blogs
  • Work closely with UpCloud’s Product and Documentation teams to co-ordinate communications about product updates, and how to support end users during onboarding
  • This role will include frequent travel throughout Europe
