At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses.
In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor.

We are now recruiting for a Developer to join our IT department.
You will assist in the design, development, and delivery of all .NET applications across a wide range of projects to support Allied’s strategy.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm and the salary is £50k.

Responsibilities

THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE ARE:

· Develop and deliver new products, solutions, and integrations in accordance with agreed schedules and budgets.
· Embrace a Test-Driven Development Approach.
· Support the evolution of our solution platforms, embracing future cloud architectures.
· Ensure current and future requirements for Allied applications are understood and supported by our technical frameworks.
· Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Product Owners throughout the full software development lifecycle.

TO BE EFFECTIVE IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:

· 5 years’ experience working on software projects.
· Understanding of various software development lifecycles including waterfall and agile.
· Interest in key technology developments and standards relevant to application development.
Previous experience using Azure Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes and GRPC would be advantageous but is not essential.
