LOCATIONS: MELBOURNE – PORT MELBOURNE (HYBRID)
This is a hybrid position primarily based in Port, Melbourne. We’re committed to your flexibility and wellbeing and our hybrid strategy currently requires two days a week in the office, giving you the option to work remotely for some of your working week. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- University Degree from accredited institution in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science and/or related discipline.
- Programming Experience – minimum 3 years** experience developing software in a commercial environment.
- Experience in Windows and/or Unix, Perl (or other high-level language), databases and data structures
- Possess and display a positive, flexible, enthusiastic attitude & strong work ethic, be self-motivated, proactive and a capable of working in a team or independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess the ability to work well under pressure, maintaining professionalism and a focus on quality
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with other Team Members and colleagues in various departments of Computershare
- Exhibit strong time management skills to achieve successful outcomes in a timely manne

As a member of a cross-functional team focused on shared success, you will develop solutions for Computershare Communication Services and deliver solutions with first-time quality and adherence to ISO9001 procedures.
SOME OF YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Write high quality code, developing unit, functional and performance testing and manage promotion to production environments.
- Complete development work within the estimated time frame and budget
- Provide insights and direction to teams to enhance the efficiency of technology solutions delivery to customers.
- Act as a point of escalation for technical issues, including direct customer engagement, when necessary, to ensure rapid resolution of queries and issues.
- Provide development support during ‘go live’ activities, as required.
- Participate in peer code reviews against requirements and standards.
- Participate in quality issue investigations as required.
- Demonstrable ability to suggest and implement improvements to existing processes and tools
