Software Developer Our global teams are expanding and growing and we at Foster Moore International are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Software Developer to join our awesome Central Auckland–based Software Development team. About the role: As a Software Developer, you will work in an agile project team to deliver high-quality product installations worldwide. You will develop, configure, test, and maintain software solutions using XML and Groovy, producing supporting tests, documentation, and guides. The role involves collaborating with clients, business analysts, developers, testers, and project managers, contributing to upgrades, enhancements, and project work while supporting continuous improvement in processes and delivery About you: 3-5 years’ development experience in an Information Technology Business with at least 2 years’ commercial experience of one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Groovy, C#, PHP, etc.). Strong knowledge of Java is essential. Good understanding of database concepts and strong knowledge of SQL. Must have analytical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. Good understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, React, WordPress). Knowledge of web service technologies (e.g., REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, WS Security). Familiarity with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and defect tracking software e.g., JIRA. Understanding of source control processes and tools (e.g., SVN, Git). Knowledge of other programming language (e.g., .Net, Python, etc.) advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of ITIL and DevOps advantageous.
