Our client is a multinational software company with offices in Germany, France, Japan and Spain (Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid). They develop technological products specialized in the financial and insurance sectors. We are looking for a developer IT to join the IT team in the Madrid office. What will be your responsibilities? As a developer, you will have the opportunity to continuously expand your skill set, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to creating solutions that empower both businesses and individuals. Implement and customize Guidewire’s core insurance system, working with an alternative JVM language. Lead the design of IT solutions, taking into account the architecture and its limitations. Serve as a trusted advisor and “training partner” for our clients. Independently lead a project team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining high standards. Oversee project scope compliance, promote best practices, and share knowledge across teams. Create well-structured technical documentation (e.g., using BPMN, UML). Work directly with our clients as an active member of an agile project team. Build strong and lasting relationships with clients. Technology stack Java or Gosu Git, Jenkins, and similar tools IntelliJ SOAP, REST Apex Oracle, MSSQL, H2 …and more depending on the project What do we expect from you? At least 4 years of professional experience as a software developer, using Java/Gosu. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role, such as technical lead or architect. Fluency in Spanish (C1/C2 level) and a good command of English (at least B2/C1 level) are essential. Strong hands-on experience in system integration or in the insurance domain. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and clean code principles. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge business requirements with technical solutions and effectively facilitate workshops. Experience in effort estimation at various levels and identification of potential risks. Knowledge of any of the following: web services (REST/SOAP), microservices, JMS, Spring, or any similar hands-on experience. Eligibility to work in the European Union. What do we offer you?
