QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in in a related field with a minimum 3 years professional development experience
• Excellent well developed communication and presentation skills

AIM OF THE ROLE:

The aim of this role is to design, develop, test, maintain and document traditional software applications and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to meet business and client specifications.
The role combines developer programming expertise (including development of technical designs and flow charts, and building, maintenance and modification of code) with RPA implementation to automate business processes while developing complementary applications to enhance digital transformation initiatives.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

• The scope of this role extends to the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) of client solutions, to design, develop, and maintain both traditional software solutions and RPA bots to automate business processes.
• Combine programming skills with process optimisation to improve efficiency and accuracy in workflows

MAIN DUTIES:

• Analyse, evaluate, and identify business processes suitable for automation through stakeholder consultation
• Design and develop code RPA bots using UiPath and best practice REFramework
• Develop complementary software applications and integrations to extend automation capabilities
• Modify and enhance existing automation solutions and traditional applications
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code using agreed programming languages and frameworks
• Modify and enhance existing codebases to improve functionality and performance
• Consider technology limitations and system deficiencies during development, escalating major issues when required
• Research, analyse and evaluate system program needs through client consultation
• Translate business functional models into technical specifications
• Assist in designing software architecture to meet both functional and technical requirements
• Identify technical limitations of current systems and recommend automation and complementary software solutions. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed automation and software design activities.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for both RPA workflows and an applications programming language. Debug and optimize automation processes and software components
• Ensure solutions meet quality standards and performance requirements per specification
• Document test results and implement improvements
• Create and maintain technical documentation including system designs and flow charts, code documentation, and user manuals and operational procedures
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications
• Communicate regularly with team members, management and other departments
• Work within agile teams to deliver tailored outcomes
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement enhancements
