As the Developer Relations Lead, you will lead our developer relations team, focusing on creating and nurturing a vibrant community around our products. You’ll serve as a bridge between the developers who use our platform and our internal teams, ensuring that we understand and meet developer needs while enhancing our products’ visibility and adoption. This role is essential in shaping our community’s growth, fostering engagement, and advocating for the developer experience across all facets of the company.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of building and nurturing developer communities, preferably in a high-growth or open-source environment.
- Strong understanding of developer tools, platforms, and APIs, and experience in communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent the voice of the developer both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and scaling teams.
- A data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform strategy and decision-making.
- A passion for technology, open-source, and empowering developers to succeed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in open-source community building.
- Familiarity with social media and content distribution strategies for technical audiences.
- Experience hosting live-streamed events, webinars, or technical workshops.
- Experience in OCR and Intelligent Document Processing is a huge plus.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive developer relations strategy that aligns with our business goals, focusing on community engagement, education, and advocacy.
- Community Building: Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and global developer community. Drive growth through online forums, open-source contributions, meetups, conferences, and developer events.
- Developer Advocacy: Champion the needs of developers to internal teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing. Act as the voice of the developer community, ensuring their feedback is integrated into product development.
- Content & Education: Oversee the creation of engaging and educational content, including technical blogs, tutorials, webinars, and documentation, to support developers at all skill levels.
- Events & Outreach: Plan and execute developer outreach programs, including conferences, webinars, hackathons, and speaking engagements, to increase awareness and engagement.
- Metrics & Reporting: Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of developer relations activities. Provide regular reporting on developer sentiment, engagement metrics, and the impact of initiatives on product adoption.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of developer advocates, content creators, and community managers, fostering a culture of learning, creativity, and excellence.
