About the role
As a Developer at Bunnings, you will be involved in the full Software Development Lifecycle where you will develop, test, and deploy code in a variety of programming environments.
This role will join our Supply Chain Tech team, where you will focus on maintaining & extending APIs and integration services that connect our various supply chain systems with the rest of the enterprise. These systems include customer order management and fulfilment, warehouse management, transport management and last mile delivery systems and partners. You will develop new integration services & APIs between relevant systems and services and maintain existing interfaces.
This role can be based in our offices either in Melbourne or Perth!

What’s involved:

  • Support the build and management of integration services and APIs through the implementation of new features and maintenance of existing features.
  • Contribute to a maintainable, high quality, and performant codebase
  • Contribute to technical solution designs and product ideas with the team including writing tests
  • Collaborate with other engineering team members

Who we’re looking for:
You are a Backend Developer, with demonstrated on the job experience, who enjoys the challenge and satisfaction of writing elegant and efficient code.
You will come with some knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. distributed source control, continuous deployment, behaviour driven development, code reviews etc). Ideally, you will have experience delivering solutions within Supply Chain, Order Management Systems for customer order fulfilment, or within the retail industry.

Some of your technical experience will include:

  • C#, .Net Core (essential for the success of this role)
  • Technical knowledge of Azure Integration PaaS components
  • Knowledge of typical enterprise integration patterns & mechanisms (message broker, publish-subscribe, RESTful APIs, etc)
  • A good understanding of databases and SQL
  • Knowledge of typical code deployment and source code management processes
  • Technical knowledge of the Manhattan Active platform, including APIs and extension mechanisms like Manhattan’s ProActive framework would be advantageous, but not critical requirement advantageous but not critical)
