WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a candidate with strong research and analytical skills who can generate high-level reports and interpret complex financial and commercial data. The ideal candidate be able to identify value drivers and issues, in a complex environment, and managing multiple projects concurrently. Excellent organizational skills, proven experience writing concise reports, presentations and proposals, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint are essential. Flexibility in work location and hours to meet project deadlines is also required.
Candidates should demonstrate robust project management abilities, including a track record of delivering on time and within budget. Experience contributing at a senior level and representing the organization to external stakeholders is valued, along with a sound understanding of commercial issues in a higher education setting.
Prior experience as an analyst is preferred, but a Property Development or Construction background is not necessary. Most important will be a willingness to adapt and learn in a driven, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is within the White City Development Team who are responsible for delivering a significant and exciting programme of development projects at Imperial’s newest campus. The campus extends across 22 acres with the first phase of development largely complete and operational. Imperial has outline planning consent for a c.2.7m sq. ft mixed-use masterplan for the second phase of development that it intends to bring forward, together with partners, over the next decade. Further asset management and development activities are progressing in North Acton and Old Oak as part of Imperial’s WestTech Corridor strategy. Imperial will progress with major mixed-use development in this location over the next two decades.
The Analyst role will encompass strategy, asset management, transactions, planning & development. They will form a key part of a small team and have a varied and changing set of day-to-day development, financial and project management responsibilities

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

The role will be to assist with the development of new buildings and to provide strategic input into existing property activities including asset management. Analysts will be allocated to oversee and support the day-to-day implementation of new and existing property activities, including major regeneration projects, working under direct instruction from the project lead. Analysts will have a level of delegated authority as determined on a case-by-case basis for the lead. Analyst will also be required to consult and engage with internal and external stakeholders including local community groups, local authorities, property consultants and legal advisors. Analysts will be expected to participate in other property work across Imperial’s portfolio and will have the opportunity to undertake training including property and/or investment related qualifications (not required).
