Description This position reports to the Chief External Affairs & Operations Officer (CEAOO). The Development & Communications Assistant will provide direct administrative and logistical support to enhance the organization's fundraising and communications activities. This is a good opportunity for a candidate who would like to learn about fundraising, events, and communications. Essential Functions Work closely with the CEAOO and External Affairs Manager to implement The Spring Soiree and Cooking & Conversation Coordinate logistics for our fundraising, cultivation, and other events including managing tickets, registrations, sponsors, venue needs, and the event auction. Manage the Employee Fundraising Committee Manage the department’s databases by updating records, entering data, and running reports Engage volunteers and coordinate volunteer opportunities Manage the organization’s intranet Execute website updates, event promotions, and simple graphic design tasks Execute event mailings and thank you letters Manage departmental invoices Handle additional development and communications duties as assigned Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
