What You'll Do: In the Development Assistant role, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our fundraising efforts and volunteer programs. This position involves a mix of clerical and organizational tasks, donor correspondence, volunteer coordination and support of special projects and events. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for community service. Support the development department with scheduling calls and meetings, and confirming volunteer shifts and drop-offs Helps create and distribute development materials, including flyers, newsletters, social media posts, and donor recognition materials. Assist in and coordinate volunteers for various programs and events. Respond to inquiries from potential volunteers and provide them with information about available opportunities. Assist in tracking volunteer hours and contributions for recognition and reporting purposes. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing fundraising strategies and volunteer engagement. Leads the creation of acknowledgement, thank you letters, correspondence, and recognition of donors and volunteers Work closely with the communications team to identify and support needs integrated in all communications and marketing materials Performs additional duties as assigned Requirements Who You Are: You're passionate about making a lasting impact, whether supporting individuals directly or enhancing our organizational effectiveness.
