Our goal is to be the first choice for families seeking an educational experience where every student is challenged, supported, and inspired to own their journey to mastery and independence in a community where they are truly known and valued.Position Summary Bancroft School seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to support its Advancement team. This individual will play a key role in advancing the mission of Bancroft by supporting fundraising operations, annual fund, donor stewardship, event planning, and alumni relations.The Development Associate will work closely with the Director of Advancement and other team members to strengthen relationships with constituents and enhance the overall philanthropic engagement of the School community.Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising & Donor Relations
Assist in the implementation of annual giving programs, including direct mail and email campaigns.Support donor stewardship activities and manage donor recognition lists.Conduct research on donors and prospects as needed.
Database Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and alumni records using the Blackbauds Raisers Edge.Generate reports, queries, and mailing lists for fundraising and event purposes.Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Communications & Events
Assist in the creation and distribution of advancement communications, including newsletters, appeals, and social media content.Support the planning and execution of key events such as Reunion, Homecoming, donor recognition events, and stewardship gatherings.Serve as a friendly and professional point of contact for alumni, parents & guardians, and donors.
Alumni Engagement
Maintain and update alumni contact information.Support alumni programming and outreach, including class notes, alumni spotlights, and volunteer coordination.
Administrative Support
Provide general administrative support to the Advancement Office, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and maintaining departmental files.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required.13 years of experience in development, fundraising, marketing, or administrative support preferred, ideally in an educational or nonprofit setting.Proficiency with Google Suite; familiarity with Blackbauds Raisers Edge is highly desirable.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks with discretion and professionalism.Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.Commitment to teamwork and the mission of Bancroft School
