Primary Function The Development Associate is responsible for supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco’s (BGCSF) development department in achieving its goals and objectives. Duties range from managing gift processing and donor acknowledgements,, administrative and logistics support related to events, maintaining email lists and supporting mass mailings (print and electronic), and assisting in research and compilation of information as needed to support individual and institutional giving The Associate is a critical member of the development team and we are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter who is eager to learn and grow in a successful and growing nonprofit organization. This position is full time at the John N. Callander Administrative Office, with four days in office and one optional remote day. Key Roles: Gift Processing & Acknowledgement 50% Receive, input, and legally process and receipt all charitable contributions into CRM (MyClubHub, powered by the Salesforce platform), including in-kind, to BGCSF in accordance with donor intent, BGCSF policies, and adherence to IRS rules and regulations governing charitable contributions (daily number of gifts for entry range between 5-50). Produce acknowledgement letters for all gifts within 1-week of gift receipt and update acknowledgement templates with frequency to reflect seasonal updates and as events and campaigns demand. Ensure accuracy of gift entry and coordinate coding with the finance department. Serve as the primary contact for gift-in-kind inquiries and help to coordinate gift-in-kind donations with appropriate BGCSF staff members. Manage outstanding pledge tracking processes and produce invoices and send reminders for outstanding commitments to BGCSF. Track and ensure accuracy of give and get credit for the Board of Governors and Board of Trustees. Donor Relations 25% Support data input across development, IG, and executive office and ensure data integrity on an ongoing and regular basis. Work with the Institutional Giving team and support grant reporting and copy/editing needs as needed. Provide general support for fundraising campaigns (print and digital), including liaising with Board Members and creating solicitation lists, managing print production, assisting with list creation, and creating flyers and printouts. Manage gift files and donor communications for all donors, including institutional, in CRM and Google Drive. Conduct prospect research and develop donor profiles, gift history reports, and more to support overall donor cultivation and solicitation efforts. Provide support to monitor and track sponsorship benefits and recognition as well as grant deliverables and reporting requirements. Event Support 25% Manage special events registration process, including tracking registration for individual and corporate guests and outreaching to confirm guest details. Manage event website pages, updating as needed and ensuring optimal guest experience. Act as primary support for Annual Online Auction helping to update event websites, solicit donations, manage donation outreach strategy, and process payments and deliveries. Help purchase event supplies and produce event signage as-needed. Requirements Skills/Knowledge: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Interest in nonprofit fundraising and youth development organizations Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously Skilled collaborator and motivated team player Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Familiarity with Salesforce CRM preferred Adobe Suite and MailChimp experience is a plus Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively. Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time. Pay: The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and BGCSF needs. At BGCSF, our decisions are based on other factors and are dependent on the circumstances of each position. Depending on the need and requirement of the position, an individual could be hired at or near the entry-level, mid-level, or top-of-the-range for their role and compensation. As such, a reasonable estimate of the current range is $24-$26 per hour.
