Description

Lyne Laboratories is looking for a Full-Time on-site Development Chemist to contribute to daily operations in the lab. Lyne Laboratories, with more than 45 years of experience, is a privately held, well-established company with a successful history of manufacturing liquid, semi-solid and powder formulations of both prescription and OTC products.
The responsibility of the Development Chemist is to coordinate, perform and document routine testing as per existing protocol, as well as take part in method development/transfer and validation/verification to support analytical development, formulation development and FDA submission requirements within the Product Development Laboratory

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a similar scientific discipline
  • our years’ experience in the pharmaceutical (or related) industry doing analytical chemistry, method development and validation, stability, and chemical testing.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, USC and laboratory instrumentation (e.g., GC, HPLC, IR) for the analysis of drug dosage forms required.

  • Interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities
  • Document analytical testing independently within a reasonable period of time, as per GMPs, GLP and safety requirements.
  • Raw Material, Finished Product and Stability Testing as per the USP Monograph.
  • Raw Material In Process, Finished Product and Stability Testing including RLD, as per existing protocol.
  • Development/transfer to support analytical development.
  • Document cleaning analysis, including TOC and Chromatographic method to support formulation development.
  • Analytical testing to support associated study such as Tubing Study, Holding Time Study, 2nd standard qualification, as well as competitive product analysis regarding formulation and stability for new product.
  • Equipment calibration/qualification including daily, quarterly, and annually.
  • Routine testing, will perform complicated analytical analysis, take part in training new chemists for routine analysis and audit their work.
  • Participate in maintaining the Product Development Laboratory in a clean, orderly, and well-organized manner.
  • participate in solving analytical problems, as well as supporting other chemists, when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
