Signify is looking for a Development Engineer Electronics to join our LiFi team in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. LiFi is a new emerging optical wireless communication technology and as a Development Engineer Electronics you’ll be responsible for the electrical design (from concept development all the way up to manufacturing) of new Signify Trulifi LiFi solutions.
As a Development Engineer for Electronics, you will be part of the R&D team that creates imaginative, professional, state of the art optical wireless communication solutions. You will be responsible for specifying, integrating, validating, and releasing (opto-) electronic modules and systems. You will work in an enthusiastic business context, in multi-disciplinary teams ensuring that what we do aligns well with the specific market and project requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Participate in the entire product development process from concept to product release in the market.
• Develop, test and document (opto-) electronic communication systems, subsystems (e.g. optical transceivers), printed circuit boards and modules as part of new product development projects and proof of concepts according to requirements and specifications.
• Translate research outputs into practical and efficient solutions
• Collaborate with cross functional project teams (System architect, mechanical engineer, optical engineer, thermal engineer, design team and validation team) located in Burlington and the Netherlands to ensure requirements are met in regard to cost, performance, safety and compliance.
• Update and maintain development reports and generate innovative ideas.
