Tasks

You take on responsibility where others are still waiting for approval – these are your areas of focus with us:

  • Conceptualization, development and implementation of embedded software on ARM Cortex microcontrollers (primarily STM32)
  • Development for real-time operating systems, especially FreeRTOS
  • Optimization and further development of existing firmware and software components based on an extensive sensor library landscape
  • Integration of embedded interfaces via common bus systems such as CANopen, IO-Link, Profinet and EtherCAT
  • Testing of software and hardware modules as well as documentation within the framework of functional safety (SiL, PLd)
  • Analysis, specification and implementation of software requirements in close coordination with product management and customers
  • Code reviews with colleagues for the joint further development of the development results
  • Independent management of sub-projects
  • Participation in interdisciplinary project teams

qualification

You bring a technical foundation and the ambition to really think things through – that's what you can expect from us:

  • Completed studies in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Proficient in C; knowledge of Python, .NET and/or C# is an advantage.
  • Results-oriented, self-reliant thinking and action
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent German skills and at least good English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Precise and structured work methods

This impresses us even more:

  • Knowledge of communications engineering (bus communication, radio systems)
  • Experience with real-time operating systems on microcontrollers
  • Familiarity with Git as a version control system
