Top Motorsports company looking to add a Performance Parts Designer/Development Engineer to their team. This position will be onsite in Santa Clarita, CA.

Responsible for creating development plans for concepts and component development. Looking at the full product life cycle from concept to production. In addition to executing the test and validations required to achieve project goals.

  • BSME/MSME with 5+ years of experience within the automotive and/or motorsports industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of vehicle dynamics and chassis component design fundamentals
  • 3+ years of mass production and/or race vehicle chassis development testing experience, including test plan creation, instrumentation, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly summarize test results and derive sound technical recommendations from those results
  • 3+ years of direct automotive chassis component and/or system design and analysis experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with detailed 3D model and 2D drawing creation
  • Demonstrated proficiency with tolerance analysis and GD&T
  • Solid practical understanding of relevant materials and parts manufacturing technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ‘team player’ mindset
  • Direct mass-production automotive development experience a plus
  • Direct Catia V5/V6 & Abaqus FEA experience a plus

Weekly pay rate: $1,826.92 - $2,019.23 DOE
