YOU’RE THE RIGHT FIT WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in areas such as Development or Design Engineering.
  • Your skills include technical problem solving, technical documentation, finite element analysis for static and dynamic stresses and experience translating customer-level requirements into detailed component-level specifications
  • You have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. (No industry experience needed with master’s degree)
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
  • You’ve demonstrated design experience in electro-mechanical product development and material selection for mass manufacturing, in particular injection molded parts, sheet metal parts and small parts assembly. (Practical CAD experience, Creo 10.0 preferred)
  • You have experience with rapid prototyping methods. Preferably experience within a regulated industry (medical devices desirable, along with knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO 13485).
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the design, check and optimization, realization and integration, life-cycle management, and verification of (elements and parts of) Oral Healthcare products (power toothbrushes).
  • Develops the work with focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality and cost.
  • Develops high level and detailed designs in accordance with the product, regulatory and other requirements.
  • Finalizes the design, integration and writes verification plans for the developed elements and parts. Tests, analyses and verifies the quality of the design.
  • Is responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project manager. Draws up personal schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way.
