Summary
As a Development Expert at SAP, you will be a key leader responsible for driving technical excellence, architectural innovation, and guiding teams toward scalable, high-quality solutions. In this role, you will lead technical decision-making and architectural direction of the team while collaborating closely across teams. Your leadership will enable successful delivery of cutting-edge solutions aligned with SAP’s goals and customer needs.
You will not only be responsible for designing and evolving system architecture but also empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions through code reviews, and technical leadership. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams will be critical to your success in this role. We are looking for at least 10+ years of professional work experience in software development with at least 3 years as a lead developer or solution architect.

The Role

• Design and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable cloud-native applications in Java, Node.js, and Angular.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-level architecture designs and technical specifications.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring architectural consistency while conducting feasibility analysis and effort estimation.
• Provide technical leadership in code and architecture reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Support and advise product management regarding technical feasibility, implications, readiness, and compliance.
• Drive innovation in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-based microservices.
• Define and implement coding and architectural standards, ensuring compliance with SAP Commerce Cloud integration tasks.
• Work cross-teams to deliver cohesive solutions that meet regulatory and security requirements.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor developers to foster growth and continuous improvement.
