JOB SUMMARY

Salary Pending Review
Reporting to Manager, Revenue Planning & Strategy, the Development Finance Repersentative is responsible for handling and coordinating the development charge administration process, ensuring adherence to Regional Development Charge (DC) By-laws to arrive at correct development charge treatments and calculations. Additionally, this role provides accounting assistance to the investment function, as required.

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or related field; an equivalent approved combination of education and experience may be considered.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and/or process review.
  • Experience with Public Sector Accounting (PSA) and not-for-profit accounting standards is an asset.
  • Knowledge of external regulations, such as the Municipal Act, Development Charges Act, CICA/PSAB Handbook and all the administration and accounting of the DC program in municipalities.
  • Completion of the municipal and finance program would be an asset.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • In accordance with the Corporate Criminal Record Check Policy, the position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate.
