We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Lab and Production Senior Manager to lead the operations of our development labs and production space in our Broomfield, CO location. This role is critical to ensuring our builds, hardware testing, and production runs are executed efficiently and aligned with business priorities. You’ll work at the intersection of cutting-edge research and scalable manufacturing, helping shape the future of our technology. All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test. \n Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of multiple development labs and production spaces, including scheduling and workflow optimization. Manage planning, resourcing, manufacturing workflows for execution of builds, hardware tests, and production runs. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and program management to align labs and shop capabilities with business goals. Partner with facilities on procurement, installation, and maintenance of lab and shop equipment Collaborate with facilities to define space requirements and ensure alignment to operational needs. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedure in coordination with facilities team. Coordinate with material management to support timely and accurate materials transfers to and from shops, including kitting, shipping, receiving, and staging. Hire, train, supervise, and mentor lab staff to maintain technical competence and support career development Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration through clear goal setting and leadership. Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new technologies and process enhancements Ensure proper calibration, documentation, and usage of all critical tools and equipment YOU MUST HAVE: Bachelor's degree minimum 8+ years of experience managing labs, production shops, or manufacturing operations Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen. WE VALUE: Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field Experience in aerospace, quantum technology, or other high-tech hardware development industries Strong background in safety compliance, quality management, and lean manufacturing principles. Hands-on approach to problem solving and operational challenges. Familiarity with prototype build processes, test operations, and transitioning products to production Experience working with products at various stages of the product lifecycle Knowledge of optical systems and/or cryogenic systems Certifications in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with others Excellent organization, communication, and documentation skills Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision \n $224,000 - $280,000 a year Compensation & Benefits: Incentive Eligible – Range posted is inclusive of bonus target when applicable The pay range for this role is $224,000 – $280,000 annually.
