POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated Development Manager Assistant / Junior Development Manager with an architectural background to join our growing development team. This role will support senior Development Managers across the full life cycle of real estate projects — from acquisition, entitlement, and design coordination, through construction and delivery. Candidates should have 3+ years of professional experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate across consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field (Architecture preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in architecture, real estate development, or project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, or other design tools a plus.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and entitlement processes.
  • Financial literacy: familiarity with budgeting, cost tracking, and pro forma analysis is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); project management software experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into a full Development Manager role.

    Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Support senior Development Managers in overseeing day-to-day project execution.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, zoning analysis, and site due diligence for acquisitions.
  • Assist with preparation and tracking of project budgets, schedules, and financial models.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors to maintain design and project objectives.
  • Review architectural drawings and construction documents for compliance with zoning, building codes, and project requirements.
  • Use AutoCAD (and related design software) to review/redline drawings, prepare basic diagrams, or evaluate unit layouts and site plans.
  • Support entitlement and permitting processes, including submissions to city agencies.
  • Help prepare internal and external reports, presentations, and investor/lender materials.
  • Track project milestones, flag potential risks, and assist in problem resolution.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with construction, sales, and marketing teams.
