Description The Development Manager will play a key role in supporting the Chief Development Officer and their respective fundraising teams (Major Gifts & Friends of Austin City Limits) during an exciting period of growth for Austin PBS. This position will focus on donor communication, strengthen individual giving efforts by ensuring timely donor acknowledgements, accurate gift tracking, and meaningful stewardship. The Development Manager will provide vital administrative and donor-facing support to the Chief Development Officer. Additionally they will play a key role in providing collateral and research and analysis that supports the full team as they work to be more strategic in their solicitations and stewardship. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about building strong donor relationships that advance the mission of Austin PBS. Key Responsibilities Donor Stewardship & Acknowledgements Prepare timely acknowledgements and renewal letters for Major Gift donors. Track and coordinate personalized stewardship touches for Leadership Circle donors. Support reporting and follow-up activities to ensure donors feel valued and connected. Gift Agreements & Data Management Draft, route, and track gift agreements for Major and Leadership Circle donors. Maintain donor records in coordination with the Data Team in the database with accurate gift and donor information. Monitor and update donor lists, including event invitations and recognition records. Donor Research & Communications Conduct donor and prospect research to support cultivation and solicitation strategies. Create collateral that supports solicitation and stewardship. Maintain the integrity of the case for support for station priorities as well as specific fundraising campaigns. Draft emails, letters, and other donor-facing communications. Communicate with donors regarding pledges, gift agreements, and other follow-up needs. Donor Event Support Support the Director of Donor Engagement and Stewardship with logistical and administrative planning and support for donor events and receptions. Create collateral for events and coordinate communications with guests pre and post events. Support donor engagement opportunities tied to Austin PBS programming. Major Gifts Team Support Prepare donor briefings, talking points, and background materials for meetings. Coordinate stewardship and recognition efforts across teams to ensure consistent messaging and recognition deliverables are fulfilled as promised. Partner with the Director of Donor Engagement & Stewardship to execute stewardship plans. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, additional education preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience with donor databases (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar) preferred. Commitment to the mission of public media and Austin PBS. This is a full time, salaried position.
