Description:

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We seek a Development Manager to oversee our remote technology and engineering team, spanning our company’s Digital Transformation and Innovation business units. The ideal candidate is a seasoned tech leader with experience leading large-scale (40+ staff) groups and well-rounded in building enterprise-grade web, mobile, and VR apps.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the executive team, development team and clients to ensure that changing resource and project requirements are understood and met.
  • Participating in client pitches and proposals by preparing project budgets, timelines and related materials.
  • Developing and executing customer success strategy to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitoring client delivery health, identifying potential issues, and proactively addressing them to ensure satisfaction.
  • Leading and mentoring a high-performance development team.
  • Working with the leadership team to establish business goals and associated metrics (chargeability, utilization, customer NPS) for the development team.
  • Executing reporting activities to track progress and guide focus.
  • Managing the delivery of multiple high-profile projects.
  • Working with engineering leadership to define, execute, and align on a unified technology strategy.
  • Working with technology leadership to pitch, architect, estimate, design, and deliver tailored product services for various industries, in particular, financial services.

  • Designing technical processes for efficient operations, timely execution, and clear decision-making.
  • Ensuring the technology team’s development and organizational plans are aligned with company objectives.
  • Translating technology vision, strategy, and priorities into clear and actionable objectives, ensuring all stakeholders, including leadership and engineering teams, remain consistently up-to-date.
  • Partnering with other team leaders to prioritize and lead technology recruiting, retention, and branding.
  • Be an engaged department manager focused on setting SMART goals and delivering results.
  • Owning part of the technology budget.
  • Offering high-level design input to apply development best practices and design patterns.
  • Working with company leadership on strategic planning for future resourcing requirements aligned with evolving business objectives.
