Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Development Manager to join our expanding office in Dubai with a focus on the Middle East and EMEA.
The role is extremely varied; from defining the project budget, assembling and managing design teams, achieving regulatory approval, overseeing contractor procurement and appointment, value engineering, managing the delivery team and bringing developments into operational readiness.
Based in the Dubai/Abu Dhabi, the role may involve domestic and international travel, especially within the Middle East.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage development projects from inception through to completion.
  • Prepare and oversee business plans, budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Conduct site feasibility assessments and identify required surveys.
  • Coordinate input from internal teams (e.g., technical, electrification) during design.
  • Select, appoint, and manage external professional teams.
  • Oversee planning applications and procurement of necessary consents.
  • Manage design processes to maximize value, control budgets, and maintain programme timelines.
  • Oversee construction activities ensuring value, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Supervise snagging processes until practical completion is achieved.
  • Support internal teams in achieving full operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Report project progress and financials to the Development Lead.
