Join our team and join us in the fight for a stronger Miami! United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Development Officer to join our team. As a Development Officer, you will develop, manage, and grow United Way Miami Employee Giving Campaigns by building relationships in the community with new and existing donors. Develop and maintain various fundraising initiatives to include corporate, employee, and individual fundraising. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and execute employee giving campaigns: Work closely with Employee Campaign Managers and decision makers to strategize and develop tailored plans for each campaign that best suit the needs of each organization Manage the execution of the campaign process that consists of, but is not limited t,o campaign strategizing, volunteer recruitment, training, and management; individual and group solicitation; individual and account cultivation, managemen,t and customer service; active promotion of corporate giving, individual giving, Leadership giving, planned giving, volunteerism, sponsorship solicitation, and labor participation Ensure the preparation of team reports that include, but are not limited to: campaign summaries, all facets of goal setting, account planning, and expectancy tracking Identify prospects, engage them in the work of United Way, and secure appropriate revenues through cross-selling opportunities. Serves as a pipeline for overall fundraising efforts and new donor cultivation Engage employee giving donors with presentations, meetings, events, and/or any other touchpoints as needed for each campaign, and continue to steward current donors throughout the year Act as liaison between partner organization and United Way Miami, remaining available to assist with workplace social service delivery, information and referral, and volunteer development Ensure donor relations efforts are being properly executed, building and maintaining relationships with United Way donors Utilize Andar software to track donor engagement and activities effectively Collaborate with internal partners: Collaborate as needed with Marketing and Communications, Business Solutions, and Finance teams to service campaigns and address the needs of partners and donors in a timely fashion. Requirements Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience Requirements: Minimum two years’ experience in sales, marketing, fundraising, volunteer management, or related field. Technology Requirements: Intermediate Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Knowledge of modern web browsers, Outlook, OneCause, Andar CRM/iAttend/eVolunteer, Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Public speaking, understanding of people, ability to adapt to changing situations, ability to understand and analyze industry trends, sales ability, computer skills, basic math skills, and negotiation skills.
