This is an exciting opportunity for two Development Officers, who would like to support us to work with communities, organisations and partners to deliver our Physical Activity Framework and support our vision of Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland: a place where physical activity is part of daily life, leading to people living healthier and happier lives.

Postholders would work on projects (although not a definitive list):

• Developing a universal and targeted approach to raise physical activity in low participating groups and settings.
• Raise awareness of the health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity to partners, settings and communities.
• Supporting wider sector professionals and groups to embed physical activity into their settings/programmes/policies and have conversations about the benefits of physical activity.
• Support the development and delivery of relevant local and national physical activity campaigns/programmes to reduce inactivity and increase participation.
• Encouraging everyone to embed regular, informal physical activity opportunities into their daily lives.
• Address the equality, diversity and inclusion challenges that are prevalent in physical activity provision.
• Make a positive difference to the physical activity levels in our People and Communities.
