THE ROLE:

Conducting experimental work to agreed timelines, while working in accordance with the company standards relating to Quality, Regulatory and H&S.
Responsible for supporting product development and contributing to the successful completion of projects.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers and other staff within the company, to help improve existing products and procedures and aid in the development of new and novel products and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Development process at Omega Diagnostics.
  • Carry out experiments with supervision in a laboratory environment within the timescale required.
  • Collect experimental data in the prescribed manner ensuring it has been scrutinised for quality and fidelity.
  • Aid in the analysis and review of experimental data using appropriate statistical and graphical analysis. Ensure data transformations are scrutinised, and the data is stored in line with departmental procedures.
  • Communicate developmental findings to peers and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the testing of validated spreadsheets for the collection of claims data or the running of key operations.
  • Follow approved documentation and where appropriate communicate potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Aid in the manufacture of current and new assay component formulations.
  • Routine use, maintenance and calibration of existing and new machinery/equipment.
  • Take part in the planning of activities for the development team.
  • Have sufficient cross departmental knowledge to be able to effectively assist internal departments when required.
  • Champion company culture, good practice and positive behaviours within the department to ensure all activities comply with company policies.
  • Actively participate in professional development reviews, 1-2-1 line manager meetings and training exercises. Be responsible for maintaining personal development in line with business needs.
  • Remain compliant with H&S and QMS policies.
