EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical training in mechanical chassis systems, small engines, power development and transmission systems of motorcycles & recreational vehicles
  • Experience in developing, troubleshooting, and improving key systems on the vehicle such as suspension, calibration, braking and clutching
  • Expert driver in on/off road motorcycle & off-road ATV & UTV vehicles
  • Professional level motorcycle/OHV mechanic, with racing experience preferred
  • Basic repair and fabrication skills by machine tools and welding equipment
  • 1-2 years’ previous experience in a similar role within the powersports, automotive or similar industry preferred
  • Maintain a valid drivers’ licence & DOT physical card for operating vehicles over 10k GVWR (CDL not required) A good driving record is required.
  • Detailed organizational skills in field/lab testing of vehicle performance & reliability. Strong ability to report findings in a clear & concise manner
  • Computer literacy for report writing, spreadsheets, email, etc…
  • Extensive in-field testing will be required at times, including multiple overnight travel periods, up to 20% off-site travel yearly
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs of weight
    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of job-related factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, certifications, education, location and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $55k-$65k annually. Our competitive salaries are just one component to CFMOTO’s total compensation package. Responsibilities
  • Field & lab test pre-production & production vehicles for durability & performance goals, based on engineering requirements.
  • Performs various field and lab testing duties as directed by supervisor relating to the production intent validation, performance, durability, and overall soundness of new and existing vehicle platforms.
  • Fully understand and conduct test procedures, based on protocol established by R&D, with clear metrics for pass/fail & quantifiable measurements that are repeatable for every new model to be tested.
  • Fabrication, development and replacement of chassis or engine/drivetrain components as needed in the testing process. Performing pre-ride safety inspections of all vehicles.
  • Assist engineers with prototype fitting & testing of components.
  • Installing, trouble shooting, and iterate parts designs closely with engineers so vehicle meets/exceeds performance targets.
  • Perform tuning/calibrating on chassis vehicle systems such as suspension, CVTs, and brakes
  • Document endurance test results.
  • Responsible for equipping & maintaining a clean and organized shop space, including corporate, off-site locations, and work vehicle/trailers.
  • Driving of company truck & trailer to various test locations.
  • Responsible for operating within standard operating procedures and following all company health & safety guidelines.
  • Preform other duties as required.
