WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC As the Developmental Specialist, you would be responsible for managing the adult Development Disabilities Administration, which includes the daily functioning of the department and case-managing adult clients in order to help them grow and reach goals. This leadership role, working under the Director of Development Disabilities Administration, supervises the paraprofessionals as they contribute to and implement the planned programs. More specifically, some of the responsibilities of our Developmental Specialist include: Attending meetings annually (and as needed) with case managers, families, clients, and other professionals to create a yearly plan of goals from which programs are made Creating and organizing binders with updated information deemed necessary by Health and Welfare IDAPA codes Creating programs following the plan of goals outlined in the ISP created by the Health and Welfare case manager Sending six month and yearly status updates to Health and Welfare case managers Managing paraprofessionals as they implement these programs daily. Providing weekly face-to-face supervisory visits to ensure high quality levels of care Organizing activities and schedules of adult clients that coordinate with client hours Organizing schedules of paraprofessionals to coordinate with client hours Handling medical emergencies or crises with clients as needed, training staff to do the same Remaining calm in challenging situations and serving as a positive role model for individuals in the program as well as coworkers Maintaining positive relationships and regular communication with coworkers, supervisors, clients, and families Assisting in program growth through marketing efforts Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Service Field or Bachelor's degree of Science in Health Education Minimum of one year working with adults with disabilities Professional conduct, communication skills, integrity, and alignment with the vision and mission of FCMC are important characteristics for this role Essential Job Functions: Regular and predictable attendance is required Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit Regularly required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds Must comply with HIPAA and patient privacy Must submit to COVID-19 testing as required by CMS and other regulatory agencies according to FCMC policy Have full COVID-19 vaccination (some exemptions allowed) The Location: Located in southeast Idaho, Franklin County is surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains, giving ample opportunity for outdoor recreation.
