REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Java (Spring) and Scala
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2) and Big Data (Hadoop, MongoDB)
• Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ADDITIONAL SKILLS APPRECIATED:

• Knowledge of Apache Spark
• Experience in UNIX/Linux debugging
• Automation scripting (AutoSys, UNIX shell, Perl, Python) for DevOps
• Front-end technologies (Angular, React, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Experience in the financial sector
• Expertise in business reporting and data science

The candidate will be involved in, but not limited to:

• Parallelizing and optimizing accounting calculations using Apache Spark
• Creating and maintaining backend REST web services to interact with other applications based on pre-established contractual agreements
• Managing data processing batches, including orchestration, performance, and data stability
• Working with a global team across multiple locations (Montreal, New York, London, Budapest, and India)
